Challenge: Use video to enhance maintenance technician training.

Background:
IBT's nationally renowned training program has taught many thousands of technicians in classroom settings. To add to the reach of its educational programs for internal staff and customers, IBT created a six part Installation and Maintenance Series.

Production Values:
Each of the six modules (V-Belts, Roller Chain, Bushings, Shaft Couplings, Unmounted Bearings and Mounted Bearings) has a video component, accompanied by a companion workbook, pre-test and final test. Actual, hands-on demos are coupled with detailed footage of the products in use in actual factories and other installations.

Highlights:
Each video module covers proper installation, ongoing maintenance, safety and other factors to increase productivity and extend service life.

Results:
Proper and consistent training for technicians in the field.
