| Client: Power Transmission Distributors Association (PTDA)
Synopsis: Updating a comprehensive industrial training series
Challenge: Add three new volumes to the already extensive fourteen volume training series for the PTDA, previously produced by IBT Media. Background: PTDA is the leading association for the industrial power transmission/motion control distribution channel. Education is one of their main functions. IBT Media has produced their entire video training library, one of the ways that the association helps distributors and manufacturers meet marketplace demands for knowledgeable workers. Production Values: IBT Media is adding three new sections for the PTDA library. To produce them, we are drawing on our vast library to industrial footage, accumulated during our many years in the video industry. Supplemental footage is also being added, to provide detailed, specific information about Lubrication, Sealants & Adhesives and Vibration Analysis. Highlights: The Lubrication video examines the insides of machinery, showing how the lubricant film protects the equipment. The Sealant & Adhesives video includes animated action of the sealant operating at a molecular level. In the Vibration Analysis video, we show operations of the sophisticated, high-tech equipment that captures information about rotating equipment – and displays it on-screen for technician analysis. Results: Training videos that are consistent with the previously produced series, but also extend the learning not new areas that represent new levels of technology and technical complexity. |
