Client: Applebee's International
Synopsis: Feeding the training need of a leading restaurant chain
Challenge: Introduce new menu items at multiple times during the year, training associates in all areas of the restaurant. Background: Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar is the largest casual-dining chain in the US. It has more than 1,900 restaurants and more than 100,000 associates. Annual sales are about $4.0 billion. IBT Media has completed numerous training videos for Applebee’s, introducing new food campaigns to kitchen staff, servers, hosts and managers. Production Values: We cover writing, field production, editing as well as producing and delivering the final DVD discs. We have also worked with Applebee's to help to streamline production and get the critical information to their associates under the pressure of tight deadlines. Highlights: IBT Media videos for Applebee's: Introduced Carside To Go (You Call It In. We Bring It Out) which allows customers to place telephone orders and then pick up their food without getting out of their cars. Helped Applebee's launch celebrity chef Tyler Florence's American Bistro features, and helping the company train managers to conduct better meetings before work shifts. Results: Applebee's chairman and CEO Lloyd L. Hill, was honored as Operator of the Year at the 2005 Multi-Unit Foodservice Operators conference, based on a vote of his peers. |
