Synopsis: Municipality looks at the past to build its future
Challenge: Showcase a mid-size city for both business and residential prospects, drawing upon the rich past and the exciting present and future. Background: St. Joseph was once the home to outlaw Jesse James, the legendary Pony Express and other icons of the Old West – but it is less well-known as a charming and livable city today. Production Values: Title: Where the West Officially Started Getting Wild. IBT Media shot and finished in High Definition, using historical reenactments, Ken Burns-style animations of still material, footage of the numerous museums and monuments in the city and other views that gave the overall flavor of this vibrant community. Highlights: IBT staged historical reenactments of Pony Express riders, early settlers, a Jesse James bank robbery and featured the Civil War. The video also exhibits festivals, historic districts and the commercial vitality of the community. Results: St. Joseph takes a back seat to nobody in livability. It was named an All-American City in 1997. This project, produced over a nine month period, resulted in a sixteen minute video, shot and finished completely in HD - high definition and showing the overall flavor of this vibrant community. This is truly one of the best pieces we have ever produced. |
